Damn Media get it bloody right.

I wish the media would get the stories right or actually tell the whole bloody story. At the moment the Victorian Nurses are in a Conditions Dispute not a bloody Pay Dispute with the Victorian Government. It's not really that hard for the media to comprehend that this is about Conditions that make your healthcare safer, No health assistants(seriously who wants a one year T.A.F.E trained person looking after you compared to a 3 year UNI degree person plus more courses and training?), And to pay for these under trained people to "care" for you they want to sack 1500 Nurses, So the nurses don't want this to happen big surprise there un trained compared to trained. They want to keep their Nurse to patient ratio. This means that you aren't waiting around in pain for your meds or dressing changes while your nurse is dealing with 10 or more other people or worse in Emergency where they want to take it from 1 nurse to 3 patients to 1 nurse to 5 patients who are in EMERGENCY for a reason they are ILL. Who wants to be seriously ill and your nurse is NO WHERE AROUND? Also split shifts so for 2 hours you will have one nurse then for a few hours another nurse then your first nurse then back to another nurse. You want continuity of care for 8 hours not bloody changes.

If this dispute was just about pay it would be over with the Government would have caved by now. But once again they want to shaft the Nurses those who can't fight back because they care to much about people to put your lives at risk. People need to get behind their nurses and back them up and tell the Government that this treatment of their nurses those who care for you when you are to sick to care for yourself is NOT ON.
